Investment adviser
Members of HSFML's infrastructure team are responsible for carrying out the function of Investment Adviser. In particular, they are responsible for managing the existing portfolio investments and for sourcing further infrastructure investments to enhance returns for shareholders.
The Infrastructure Investment Team currently consists of 25 investment professionals, all of whom have an infrastructure investment background. The Team currently has over 200 years' combined experience in the PFI/PPP sector and over 110 years with HSIL, and has a broad range of relevant skills, including private equity, structured finance, construction and facilities management. The team has experience in social infrastructure, transportation, telecoms and renewable energy.
An investment committee has been set up to review prospective new investments and ultimately approve any acquisition. Information about the members of the Investment Committee is provided below.

Tony Roper |
Tony is responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the HICL portfolio and is a member of the HICL Investment Committee. He joined HSBC Specialist Investments in 2006 from John Laing, where he was portfolio director. Tony has 14 years' experience in infrastructure investments.

Chris Gill |
Chris joined HSBC Specialist Investments Limited in 2008, having already worked for the HSBC Group in both New York and London for over 20 years. Chris has a background in project financing and credit risk management, and is also a member of the HSIL Board of Directors and its Investment Committee.

Gareth Craig |
Gareth was a founder of the HSBC Infrastructure business in 1997 and has over 12 years' infrastructure investment experience. He is a member of the HICL Investment Committee.

Erwan Fournis |
Erwan Fournis joined HSBC Specialist Investments Limited in 2006 and has 11 years experience in PFI/PPP and infrastructure, ranging from investment, lending to advisory matters. Erwan is a French national and speaks Spanish and English fluently.

Keith Pickard |
Keith is responsible for managing the financial activities of HICL and its portfolio. He joined HSBC Special Investments Limited in 2007 from John Laing, where he was responsible for portfolio management. Keith has a background in corporate finance and project finance, with 10 years' experience in infrastructure investments.

Richard Sem |
Richard joined HSBC Specialist Investments Limited in 2006 and is a member of the HICL Investment Committee. Richard has 12 years' experience in advising, investing, structuring and underwriting of long-term equity and debt funding solutions for transportation infrastructure, social infrastructure, and utilities.

Werner is the Chief Executive of HSBC Specialist Investments Limited, which he joined in 1995. Werner has a background in real estate, corporate finance and private equity, as well as 12 years' experience in infrastructure investments.
