South East London Police stations

This GBP80 million PPP project involved the design and construction by John Laing Construction of four new police stations for the Metropolitan Police in South East London.

Situated in Bromley, Deptford, Lewisham and Sutton, these stations provide facilities for Borough operations, the Mounted Branch and the Serious Crime Division. Covering 34,000 square metres of internal space, the stations contain 96 custody cells and stabling for 24 horses.

Hard and soft facilities management are provided by John Laing Integrated Services under a 25-year contract. These services include cleaning, catering, security and building maintenance, together with the provision of property officers, front office staff, typists and custody assistants.
