Kemble Water

The HICL group acquired a participation of GBP30m in the Junior HoldCo Term Loan Facility for Kemble Water, which, together with the other loan facilities, supported the acquisition of Thames Water. Thames is the UK's largest water and wastewater services company. Thames supplies 2,600 million litres of tap water to 8.5 million customers across London and the Thames Valley on a daily basis. Thames also removes and treats 2,800 million litres of sewage for an area covering 13.6 million customers (figures as at 31 March 2009).
