Greater Manchester Police Authority

This GBP82 million project involved the design, build, financing and operation for the Greater Manchester Police Authority (GMPA) of a new traffic headquarters and 16 new police stations (four divisional headquarters, five sub-divisional headquarters and seven local community police stations). All the facilities have now been constructed and are fully operational.

Nearly 3,000 police officers have been able to move from 53 old stations into the 17 new buildings. For some of the patrol, CID and community officers and members of the Crown Prosecution Service, this is the first time that they have been able to work from the same building since the GMPA's formation in 1974.

The new buildings cover 38,600 square metres of floor space. Hard and soft facilities management (such as cleaning, grounds maintenance and helpdesk) are being supplied by Equion FM.
