Ealing schools

Ealing schools

This four-school education project in the London Borough of Ealing consists of one secondary school (Brentside) and three primary schools (Downe Manor, Gifford and Ravenor). All four schools became operational in 2004, and between them serve 2,800 staff and pupils. The contract has a 27-year operational term that expires in 2031.

Designed by Seymour Harris Keppie, supported by Buro Happold, the schools were built by Kajima Construction Europe (UK) Limited. During the design phase great attention was paid to the needs and aspirations of each school, as well as the opportunities and challenges presented by each site, and consequently the buildings have been well received by both teachers and pupils.

Operations and maintenance services (FM services) are provided by MITIE. HICL owns a 50 per cent stake in this project, through a joint venture with Kajima Partnerships Ltd, a subsidiary of Kajima Corporation.
