Conwy Schools

The Conwy Schools project is a 26.5 year concession to design, build, operate and maintain three schools in North Wales. Financial close occurred in March 2003 and the project involves capital expenditure of approximately GBP40 million. Some 3,600 pupil places will be provided across the three schools.

Alfred McAlpine Construction Limited carried out the construction works, which were completed at the end of March 2005. John Bright is wholly newly built at a new site; Aberconwy and Duffryn Conwy remain on their existing sites and involved substantial new building coupled with refurbishment of existing areas.
