• What is PFI/PPP?
  

  In a Private Finance Initiative (PFI)/Public Private Partnership (PPP)-type infrastructure project, a private sector consortium will form a Project Company which bids for a concession contract from a procuring client, typically in the public sector. If successful in its bid, the Project Company is appointed by the client to be responsible for the financing and construction of an infrastructure asset, such as a hospital, school or transport link, and its long-term maintenance and operation.
